The Peru Project
The International Center for Consciousness Medicine
Three years ago, I had a vision about a project that would build connections internationally between healers throughout the world. I’m pleased to announce the first stages of that project. Our first goal is to create a center near Cusco, Peru that will serve as a place to preserve and pass down traditional healing wisdom as well as offer space for international healers to come and share their arts, acting as a bridge for people all over the world who wish to experience or learn about consciousness medicine. The Peru project, while a worthwhile endeavor on its own, is actually just the beginning of a network of such places. At this point, I want to acknowledge the amazing people who are helping to create this vision: Jhaimy Alvarez-Acosta, from Peru; Starr Muranko, from Canada; and Sara Kinakin, from the Doukhobor community in Canada. The Prophecy:
The people of the North and the South have begun to collaborate, touching on the fulfillment of an ancient prophecy: The Eagle and the Condor.
In learning to fly together, we can contribute through the Peru Project to a shifting and ever-progressing world.
Our Vision:
To establish the first of several consciousness medicine centers of cultural and traditional exchange that will cross the globe, drawing on ancient and contemporary alchemical teachings.
Our Mission:
To create the first of the international consciousness medicine centers in the Sacred Valley of Peru. The center is blueprinted to be sustainable and authentic—something of the land and the people. While rooted in the traditional wisdom of the Andes, a wide range of cultural wisdoms and traditions will be shared, exchanged, and therefore re-strengthened through the synergy of our collective interaction.
Center Project:
This first center, gaining momentum as the “Peru Project,” is located in the Sacred Valley of Peru where the ancient wisdom of the Andes echoes and empowers spiritual re-connection and growth. There it will serve as a sustainable and authentic center of cultural and traditional exchange that reflects and complements the vibrancy of the local community.
This healing center will welcome, support, and nurture the individual, educational groups, healing practitioners and spiritual teachers, from both the local and international community. Across a span of approximately five acres of land, the center will include group and private healing rooms, as well as a medicinal garden and natural spaces, living accommodations, a dining area, and bath area. These facilities will allow for workshops, classes, ceremonies, and individual journeys to be experienced in a supportive and sacred space.
