So many have been eagerly waiting for my report about what actually happened in Peru. My intent for this trip was to connect with the place, to feel and understand what the land had to teach. A secondary intent was to connect with Jhaimy, my guide and one of my venture partners in the creation of a center for consciousness medicine in Peru. I hoped to understand him and his world much better by the end of the visit.

What actually happened in Peru is difficult to put into words. We visited many sacred sites and I did experience some direct teaching from the land and plants native there. It felt, though, like bits and snatches of a picture, so I knew that I wouldn’t see the bigger picture until I stepped back from the experience.

Once I returned to the states and had moments to observe how I was different, I noticed a very interesting and exciting change for me. It seems, since returning from Peru, that fear has fallen away …fear of others…fear of self…I can think of nothing that I won’t move into… freedom … freedom… freedom! Perhaps this is what Jhaimy meant when he said that the condor is about moving past limitations. It’s an interesting effect, and not a part of my original intent at all. Condor magick must have moved me. From this place things feel either “full” (heavy with meaning) or “joyful” or “present.” There really seems to be no other categories. The things that feel “full” might have provoked fear in the past, but I’m not even sure about that at the moment.

The space of no fear is very odd when you’ve not experienced it before. There is a flowy-ness, a slippery-ness, as if every gear is perfectly oiled and there is no friction. Thinking is still present, and even thinking around fearful things, but there is nothing to catch on, no muck in the gears to stagger, slow, impede. In this reality, there is an opening-ness, and love, adoration, peace, one-ness all flow in, co-mingling throughout the marking of time. Once, as I listened to a friend, I felt a painful welling…and then tracked it back, not to fear, but to an unkindness sent in that direction the day before, and went, oh…that’s just me, my energy, my impatience from the day before turning back around and catching me. And centering comes quickly, almost like a gently rocked boat in a serene, reflecting lake. And the light on the water, the dancing threads, the reflecting rays of sunlight sparkle in my heart, and I hear God proclaim, “This is my creation, and it IS good.”

….more to come soon about the International Center for Consciousness Medicine in Peru.
